Your happiness
Everyone’s happiness looks different, but do you truly know what your happiness looks like? Do you know what is important to you? Do you know which little things make you happy on a daily basis?
If you don’t really know what makes you happy then it’s also harder to do theses things to get happiness.
We’re going to find this out. I’m not talking about what kinds of materialistic stuff make you happy, but I’m talking about what activities or experiences make you happy?
To find this out I created a challenge for you, do you want to challenge yourself? Well then, follow along!
Challenge
Step 1: what makes you happy?
Grab a piece of paper and a pen. Write these things down: My Happy Life, Things I Do, Things I notice as the following in the picture:
Be as creative as you want to be and do it the way you want it: it’s your life.

You’re going to start writing down the way your happy life looks like for you. Write down the things you do yourself that make you happy. And then write down the things you notice that make you happy.
Write about things that are important to you. This can be in loose words, whole sentences or drawings, just do what you prefer.
Here is an example:

Notice your list becoming longer the more you think about things that make you happy? Isn’t that just amazing? There are so many things that can make you experience happiness and pleasure. You don’t need so much stuff or people to make you happy. You can get your happiness from yourself, from within.
Step 2: Vision
You’ve most probably seen this before: a vision board. Maybe you think it’s stupid, but let me tell you: this works motivational, manifesting, and inspiring. I created one a year ago and it did all 3 things for me. Let me take you on your vision board creating journey.
Go to Canva (it’s free) and create a vision board (type in vision board in the search bar), you will have plenty of options to create your vision board the way you want it to look.

Once you’ve picked the one you want you can use Google, Pinterest, Instagram, or Facebook to find pictures. These pictures need to resonate with the way you want your life to look. For example, I put a picture of an airplane on it, because I wanted to travel more, then I actually did travel more.
Use as many pictures as you want and you can make it as creative as you want it to be.
Here are some examples for the layouts (these are not actual vision boards, just templates)

Isn’t it fun to create your happy life this way?
Step 3: Want To Do
Well, now you know what you want in life. Let’s make it even easier for yourself: create your daily want-to-do list with things you want to do to be happy, mainly focusing on your My Happy Life paper and your ideal life vision board.
Think about things that are easy and manageable to do every day to be happy and then make a list out of it.
Don’t make this too complicated for yourself. Just small positive things to direct your energy towards. Because what you give attention, grows. See this Want-To-Do list as something that you would like to do, not as a list that you HAVE to do, it’s not an obligation
Leave some room at the bottom, in this way you can always add something new.
It could look something like this:

Step 4: Taking action
Now you’re all set to start taking words/boards/thoughts into action.
START taking action towards happiness: if not being on your phone, makes you happier, do so. Doing your skin-care gives you and your skin a glow, then do it?! Does walking make you happy, then take a walk. Start implementing all these little things into your daily life.
If you start doing more things for yourself that give you happiness, you will notice your self-love growing and your happiness expanding.
Once this happens you will want to do more for yourself and you will take more action towards your goals/vision board.
When you find yourself in a place once again where you’re not doing anything for yourself, do not get mad at yourself or blame yourself.
I repeat: do NOT get mad at yourself or blame yourself. Getting to a place where you’re doing more for your own happiness is a hard thing to do.
Also, don’t let your want-to-do-list act as if it is a NEED-to-do-list. You are not obligated to do these things. However, if you do them you will feel way better about yourself. In this way your self-love, self-care, and happiness will grow.
What you give attention, grows. So start putting your positive energy towards yourself. Do things for yourself, you will notice your self-worth is going up.
Also, by doing things for yourself, you will get more motivated to have a nice, positive, productive day to get to where you want to be.
As we wrap up, remember that this journey towards discovering and cultivating your own happiness is uniquely yours. It’s not about following a set formula or meeting predefined expectations; it’s about exploring what genuinely resonates with you and what brings you joy.
Think of this process as a personal adventure—a chance to really tune into your own needs and desires, to understand what lights up your spirit. By taking these steps, you’re not just crafting a list or a vision board; you’re actively shaping a life that reflects who you are and what you truly want.
Embrace the challenge with an open heart and a curious mind. As you begin to take action on your goals, remember that every small step counts and every bit of effort you put into nurturing your happiness is a victory in itself. Don’t be discouraged if progress seems slow; growth is a journey, not a race.
You have the power to make your life richer and more fulfilling by focusing on what brings you joy and fulfillment. Trust in the process and be patient with yourself. Celebrate each achievement, no matter how small, and keep moving forward. The path to your happy life is a personal one, and you’re the one writing the story.
So go ahead—take those steps, embrace the challenge, and build a life that makes you truly happy. Your future self will thank you for the efforts you make today. You’ve got this!
With love,
